Dehradun. The monsoon session of the Assembly will run from September 5 to 8. The Assembly Secretariat has completed all preparations to conduct the session smoothly. In the four-day session, the supplementary budget from the government, the 10 percent horizontal reservation bill for the state agitators and the annual accounts report report will be placed on the table of the House. On the other hand, due to the session, traffic has been diverted for four days. In view of the protests etc. during the assembly session, barrier points have been set at some places in Dehradun to maintain traffic/law and order.
Pragati Vihar Barrier, Shastri Nagar Barrier, Bypass Barrier, Defense Colony Barrier and Vidhan Sabha Tiraha Barrier have been made barrier points. Heavy vehicles will be diverted from Kargi Chowk and Doiwala towards Dudhli Road. Due to heavy traffic pressure in Rispana area, heavy vehicles will be partially stopped at Laltappad, Harrawala and Nayagaon. Vehicles going from Dehradun to Haridwar/Rishikesh/Tehri/Chamoli will be diverted towards culvert number 06 from Nehru Colony/Fawwara Chowk. Traffic going from Dharampur Chowk towards ISBT will be diverted towards ISBT from Old Bypass Chowki via Mata Mandir Road. Vehicles going from Mohkampur to Mussoorie will be diverted from Jogiwala via Ring Road to Ladpur via Sahastradhara Crossing via IT Park towards Mussoorie route. Vehicles coming from Mohkampur towards Dehradun city will have to stop at Vidhan Sabha Tiraha, Rispana, It will be sent towards Dharampur EC road via Old Bai Chowki. Each possible procession (permitted) will proceed from Bannu School only and their vehicles will also be parked at Bannu School. As the procession departs from Bannu-School towards Pragati Vihar Barrier, vehicles coming from Rispana towards Dehradun city will be diverted from Haridwar Bypass towards Old Bypass Chowki. In case of traffic pressure, the city bus coming from Doiwala towards Dehradun will take a U-turn from Kailash Hospital and will be sent back to Doiwala.
As per the orders of higher officials, traffic will be diverted from other routes and the diverted traffic can also be normalized.
